Hanna and Jonas, a young couple, want to escape the melancholy of the big city for a weekend. In order to write her thesis in peace, Hanna travels to the countryside with her boyfriend Jonas. While Hanna is focused on her laptop, Jonas sits opposite her and reads worn-out penny dreadfuls. They spend the rest of the day at the nearby reservoir. The couple’s days, which are hardly any different from one another, culminate in a horror of suffering.
