STÖRUNG
Documentary/Fiction | 2022 | 95 min
A person took their own life. The farewell message consisted of 74 letters, which in sequence formed 12 words: “Suicide. No autopsy necessary. Notes about my existence handed over to Constantin Hatz.”
In 2015, a person took their own life. This person had been writing notes for years – “notes about my existence,” as they called them. They contained self-reflections on their life, which was marked by war and flight. After his death, a text was created from the extensive written material. A truck driver, two guests in a workers’ hostel, a lumberjack, a nurse in a psychiatric ward, and an actress recount this text in the first person in five episodes, speaking exclusively with the words of the deceased. These people, as well as the places where they act, have no direct connection to the author of the notes, but are based on five stages of his life. His story breaks into the cinematic plot of the six people in the form of the text, and he begins to exist again as the deceased main protagonist of the film.
